for my final history class project, we talked about joy as a form of resistance. Part of joy as resistance is music. I did my project on the song What’s Going On by Marvin Gaye. I made an interview podcast and decided to share it with you all.

Wow! This is so great! You ask such good questions, Lucas, and I learned a lot from Reverend Seku! I especially appreciated the relationship between the times that we are in now and 1971 and the insight into the ways that the Black Christian religious contexts related to the political frameworks.
Joy as a form of resistance is a concept that I was only vaguely familiar with. Thank you for applying it to music, and for giving me something to ponder.
