I am now in an RV campsite in Banff near the Canadian Rockies. Our family has had an eventful day. We went on a gondola that took us up the side of a mountain. We got to see beautiful views of the Rockies. We also went to a museum of Canada’s history. We also went on a hike next to the museum. There were a bunch of people on horses and a lake next to the mountains. There were also a lot of skeeters down by the freezing water. Luckily, they were bigger and have less bad bites. And there were mountains everywhere that I could see! I’ve gotten to see mountains up close a lot on this trip. I even saw a family of mom and baby elk!

We are now back home, and a lot has happened. We went to a campground in Lake Louise and my dad jumped in the cold water and got quite a crowd. The water was very turquoise. We went to another lake called Lake Moraine. Both lakes were really beautiful. I learned from a video that the mountains around Lake Moraine were made by sedimentary rock being crushed by glaciers over millions of years.
We then went to a small town called Merritt for one night and came back to Seattle yesterday. The drive back was 6 hours with some breaks like outside for “snunch” (snack/lunch) and for packing everything up in the RV. And during the trip, we met lots of nice Canadians.
Here are some pictures:
Wow Lucas, what an adventure. It looks and sounds beautiful. I hope there was lots of music and maybe even some singing in the RV too. I hope you are enjoying some summer rest. Hi to the family and of course Raven too.
Hi Lucas! Where did you guys rent the accessible RV? Looks like an amazing trip!!
Wow, I’ve never been to the Canadian rockies, and you make me want to go!
