Oh, dear house,
I simply cannot bring words to how much you have nourished us during this pandemic. You have always held us in your oh so loving grasp for 8-ish years. So long have you been with us through the years house. Fond memories of lying on thy fluffy floor, right next to thy warm, crackling fireplace in the winter with a faint view of our Christmas tree towering above thy windows. And oh. Let me take a moment of blessed silence to oh so dearly thank the loving modem gods and goddesses for blessing us with a new modem when we assumed all was lost.
Oh, house. When we go out on adventures, I BEG to be back inside of you. Raven the cat greeting me at the door. My family surrounding me. The endless joy and laughter to be had. And the love you provide to all of us!
Your handsomest inhabitant,
Lucas Hanson.
Dear bambino,
Handsome inhabitant. As I read this letter, tears are streaming down my roof and onto the ramp. I want to let you know that I am very, very old and weak, so to know that I am still strong gives me energy to keep going. You know, back in my day, when I was just a wee little houseling, I was so so depressed. Nobody gave me a second glance. I was rampless, and the only plants around me were teensy tiny grasses that I would have very mundane chats with. But how I got the ability to write, I have no clue! But those days are over. Now, I chat and play Houses Against Humanity with the tomatoes and squash, and I nourish your family with my ancient love. I also have intimate chats with my twin brother named Herry. And please, call me Jerry.
Yours truly,
Jerry the house.
Hey Lucas,
It’s so nice that the house wrote back! and I like that the house is named Jerry. What a good house name. Give my best to Raven and Jerry.
peace,
tom
P.S. I’m trying to imagine a Houses Against Humanity round….What do you think?
Q> When I see a person with a power washer approaching, I just want to ______
A>
1. get soapy
2. throw a storm shutter
3. window belch the tuna sandwich I just ate
4. break a gas line
Not easy to think like a sarcastic house 🙂
