Cooky Catsmas Conclusion

Dear diary,

Raven here.

What happened next is all now a hazy blur of fur, yowls, pokes and lightning zaps. 00 (that’s my surprised/contemplating stuff face). I’ll explain as best I can.

As cats are getting shocked and going “MROWWWWWWWWWW,” I’m trying to secure the Catsmas lights to figure out what’s going on. Is it one of the ornimeownts? I shake each decoration as hard as I can, but no sign of any electricity or damage.

“Hold on everyone.” I hear a yowwl ring out over all the rest. It’s Lollipop! “I’ve dealt with situations like this through my lives. I should be able to take care of this. Follow me everyone.”

Murmurs of interest ripple through us as we follow Lolli through the kitchen, right to those stone things humans use to go up and down to places. We stop at least halfway down. Right underneath a human drawing is a small black box with a little door and some buttons.

“So you want us to plunge into darkness in this bo … whatever thisss is and see if we fix these shocks with our eyes closed?” asks a light brown cat in the third row sarcastically. “Yippee. That’s gonna help.”

“No, no, no,” Lollipop scolds. “Just listen okay! This is called a breaker. Humans use it to control electricity in the place.  On my signal, we form a feline pyramid to pull,” He opens the tiny door with various buttons and levers jumps and points a paw up at a small lever in the top right. “That. Readyyyyyy … Set … MROWWWWWW!!!!!

The largest cats form the base, with the small and medium ones in the middle and Lolli and I at the tippy top. Pretty soon, we’ve formed a wobbly, rickety catramid (cat pyramid).

“On my count!” Lolli yowls. 3… 1,025 … 1 … 782 ½ … 80 … 0… NOW!!!!

“OOF.” We fall over, skimming the lever just enough to turn it and turn off the electricity. We all grapple off one another, battling to get free. “MRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW YOWWWWWWWWWWW GRRRRRRRRRR GRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.

We finally grapple off one another, yowling, high-pawing and even hugging in victory. I want to hug my Lolli and tell him how much I thank him, but I keep it in. We have a rip-hissing game of Cards Against Catumanity. Roma ends up dominating, but we have a good fight afterward. Not exactly how I’d prefur to spend Catsmas, but wild and good nonetheless.

“Meowy Catsmas everyone!!!!!” : )
